Seismic performance assessment of RC columns with interlocking hoops

چکیده

The aim of this study is to analytically assess the seismic performance reinforced concrete (RC) columns with interlocking hoops using a novel damage index, and provide data for developing next generation design criteria. Interlocking are used in rectangular or non-circular columns, splices shall be located column interior. Seismic RC controlled by level confinement provided transverse steel. commonly because they can more effective than hoops. Three were tested under constant axial load cyclically reversed horizontal load. A computer program, Reinforced Concrete Analysis Higher Evaluation System Technology (RCAHEST), analyze structures. Novel indices means numerically quantifying sustained earthquake loading. proposed numerical method assessment verified comparison experimental results.
